Street Closures

Along with all the fun and “egg-citement” created by the festival comes a certain amount of congestion and the need to reroute traffic. Following is the tentative street closing schedule due to the festival.

Wednesday
Broad Street from 3rd to 8th Street will close at approximately 5:00 p.m. to complete carnival rides and midway set up; connector streets from Main to Broad will also be closed at this time.

Thursday
Main Street from 3rd to 10th Street will close at approximately 9:00 a.m. to complete exhibitor set up.

Businesses with private parking lots are encouraged to rope them off if they do not want them to be used.

Whenever possible, motorists are advised to use the 192 Bypass or I-75 when traveling across town. The best alternative around the downtown area is Mill Street. During the festival, South Laurel Junior ROTC cadets and Storm Security personnel will be assisting the London City Police, Laurel County Sheriff’s Department, and the Kentucky State Police in directing and rerouting traffic.

Festival volunteers apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused and appreciate the public’s understanding and support.
